Laser welding vs. argon arc welding

Fibre laser welding machine uses the latest laser technology for welding. Compared to conventional contact welding, laser welders emit a high-energy laser beam on the surface of the material without direct contact. let the laser and the welded material react so that the welding consumable and welding wire melt, and finally cool, solidify, and crystallize, thereby forming a weld, is a new type of welding equipment.

01. Energy consumption
Compared with the conventional argon arc welding machine, the Thor laser welding machine adopts the latest laser welding technology, which greatly improves the laser conversion rate, reduces energy consumption, and saves about 80%~90% of electric energy than traditional argon arc welding, which can effectively reduce production costs and improve benefits for enterprises.

02. Welding results
Laser welding equipment has unique and incomparable advantages in dissimilar metal welding. Its characteristics of fast welding speed, small deformation of welding consumables and small heat-affected zone make laser welding extremely important in high-end manufacturing fields such as precision welding and micro-open parts. The weld seam is neat, flat, with no / less porosity, no pollution etc., so manufacturers prefer and start shifting to laser welding.

03. Follow-up processes
Laser welding machine uses a high-energy laser beam that produces low heat input during welding, thus resulting in small deformation at the workpiece, a clean welding effect, and no need or less effort to treat the surface of the welding consumable after welding. Simplified post-processing greatly reduces the labour and time costs consumed by the polishing and levelling process, and directly improves production efficiency.

04. Application field of laser welding machine
Laser welding equipment is a device formed after targeted optimization of thin plate welding, long weld welding and other application scenarios, in sheet metal processing, cabinet box, aluminium alloy welding, stainless steel welding and other large workpieces. It also excels in fixed positions (inner right angle, outer right angle, plane) weld welding and other use scenarios, which provide unmatchable advantages over traditional welding. Laser welding has the benefits of small heat-affected areas, deep penetration, firm weld and minimal deformation during welding. Laser welding is widely used in kitchen and house appliances, moulds, stainless steel products, stainless steel engineering, doors and windows, handicrafts, household products, furniture, automobile parts and other industries.
